Carlos Campos is a NYC fashion designer who draws inspiration from his Central American roots in his creations. This project was a speculative look book for his fashion line. A visit to his studio located in the heart of Manhattan, provided a window into his creative process . The studio was adorned with a number of tactile, textured surfaces and objects which speaks to the nature of the creations being worked on. Mr. Campos' tools also held a personal connection to him, many of which were the ones he used before he came to New York and began to gain traction in the fashion industry. Mood boards hung from the walls to provide inspiration and direction for his creations. All of this was housed in a minimalist, industrial setting which spoke directly to the character and feel of Mr. Campos' clothing line. I was instantly inspired to photograph my surroundings and use them to create the aesthetic for this look book.
